Job Summary:
As the Chief of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the technical direction and engineering operations at the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena. Your role involves overseeing the engineering aspects of live events, maintaining and upgrading facility systems, and implementing new technologies to enhance guest experiences. You will be the go-to expert in technical matters, blending your deep technical knowledge with a passion for live sports and entertainment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all engineering operations, including maintenance, upgrades, and implementation of new systems.
- Ensure the highest standards of technical excellence for live events, including sports games, concerts, and other entertainment shows.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance guest experiences through innovative engineering solutions.
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Develop and manage budgets for engineering projects and maintenance.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in engineering and entertainment technology to keep the venue at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical or engineering role, preferably in a live entertainment or sports setting.
- Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of audio-visual systems, building management systems, and event production technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- A passion for sports, live entertainment, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
