Job Title: Digital Asset Coordinator
Department: Marketing/Cubs Productions
Reports to: Assistant Director, Video Board Operations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
ROLE
The Digital Asset Coordinator is responsible for organizing and maintaining digital assets (video, audio, project files, etc.) for Cubs Productions. Both long term vision as well as short term execution will be considered as assets are logged and organized using a media asset management system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ingest, log, tag and organize footage from multiple shoots and projects, utilizing asset management system
- Maintain asset library with an emphasis on digital file organization and file naming conventions
- Working with A/V Production Engineer, maintain 100% up time on production SAN and media asset management system
- Recommend and implement best practices for media management workflow
- Develop plan for long term asset storage based on usage history and tiered storage allotment
- Ensure longevity of all video and graphic assets
- Assist editors by locating clips and importing into projects, as well as the ability to perform basic video edits
- Fulfill all footage requests by building and maintaining a professional relationship with appropriate parties
- Coordinate with freelance video board and TV truck teams to collect, label, and store assets from all home and road Cubs games
- Maintain a high-level attention to detail and organizational skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years experience managing video assets in a professional environment
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
- Expert knowledge of post-production work flows, including technical knowledge of codecs, file formats, export settings and finishing techniques (audio mixing, color correction, export settings, etc)
- Attend all home games and events which may include evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Previous experience working with a media asset management system
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Video Production/Film/Journalism or related.
- Experience with CatDV
- Experience with Telestream and Quantum products
- In depth knowledge of the game of baseball (how to score, players, history of Cubs)
