JOB DESCRIPTION

The Big Ten Network (BTN) is looking for a Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Manager to join the team in Chicago. As the CRM Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategies and executing programs to convert, engage and retain B1G+ subscribers throughout their lifecycle. B1G+ is BTN’s direct-to-consumer product offering live streaming of non-televised games, next-day on-demand archives, and access to BTN’s library of previous season classics and originals. You will need deep experience with lead and retention strategies, an understanding of customer list management and prioritization, and familiarity working in the streaming/direct-to-consumer environment.
 

A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ideate and spearhead the execution of programs that build relationships with conversions, engage subscribers, and win back churned users across email, push, and in-app channels

  • Guide the coordination and administration of B1G+ email campaigns; continuously test, analyze and optimize emails to increase open rates, click-through rates, and other key email marketing metrics

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all general Salesforce administrative duties including customizations, data hygiene, process automation, task assignment, and reporting

  • Build B1G+ reporting dashboards, plan and analyze optimization tests and identify new user insights to leverage in lifecycle email marketing programs

  • Work cross-functionally with the B1G+ Product team on a range of projects from launching new features to developing segments and personas that enable CRM to personalize the subscriber journey

  • Collaborate with Marketing Department to develop target audiences for B1G+ visibility; assist in the execution of B1G+ marketing campaigns

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 4+ years of experience in CRM and list management

  • 3+ years of experience with customer contact software (e.g., Salesforce, KORE, etc.)

  • High level of marketing writing skills is a must for this role – an excellent communicator across all channels: emails, push notifications, and web

  • Previous experience with HTML coding is an advantage

  • Experience creating responsive, adaptive, and fluid hybrid emails

  • Strategic knowledge and familiarity with streaming media platforms and services

  • Experience supporting content marketing and promotional strategies

  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to prioritize and concurrently handle multiple, time-sensitive requests within a high-pressure environment

  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours, which will include nights and weekends

  • Knowledge of all things relevant to Big Ten Athletics
