Under the direction of the Director of Facility Operations, the Operations & Logistics Manager is responsible for inventory control and managing all shipping and receiving activities at the Heinz Field stadium complex. Position will serve as the primary point of contact with Visiting College and NFL teams for team arrival and logistics. A successful Operations & Logistics Manager is characterized by excellent organizational and record keeping skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude are qualities the ideal candidate must possess.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing and exercising ultimate approval over receiving, shipping and coordinating deliveries at Heinz Field.
  • Manage Inventory and maintain accountability for all orders and supplies.
  • Utilize Asset Tiger Software for inventory control of all equipment and supplies as it pertains to stadium operations at Heinz Field. Logging and verifying all such activity.
  • Serves as the main point of contact with Visiting College and NFL teams to coordinate team arrival, postgame meal coordination, team equipment load-in and load-out schedules and logistics.
  • Manages North End Parking Lot inside the stadium on Gameday as it pertains to visiting team bus parking, visiting team ownership, security, officials, player, and coach parking.
  • Assists with coordination of TV production truck parking organization and management.
  • Approval of the scheduling all deliveries at North Service Gate.
  • Enter and manage purchase orders in Certify Software.
  • Assist business office with invoice processing and confirmation of goods received utilizing Certify Software.
  • Assist with entry of work orders as needed in 24/7 Software.
  • For Concerts and Special Events coordinate parking and logistics inside the stadium, plan arrival of semi-trucks and off-site parking, load in and load out operations.
  • Exercise responsibility for accuracy of all shipments and work with vendor if there are discrepancies.
  • Provide Admin support for the Operations department as needed thru 24/7 Software.
  • Assist and support the operations department with preventative maintenance items.
  • Conduct building walks and inspections and enter work orders as needed.
  • Review purchasing/receiving department activities with Vice President of Operations.
  • Responsible for compliance to corporate contracts/agreements, SOPs, and product specifications.
  • Assist the Director of Facility Operations with special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Three - five years’ experience in purchasing and receiving and inventory control with a four-year degree preferred in related fields or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior management experience and able to demonstrate operational effectiveness.
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the purchasing department.
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
  • Excellent communication skills – effective, clear, concise and positive.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, as well as all standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
