Job Description: 

As the Digital Marketing Manager for Overwatch, this position will play a key role in setting and bringing our Global social strategy to life for the Overwatch franchise. This person will assist in creating and overseeing the global brand social strategy for Overwatch, collaborate regularly with our regional teams, agency partners, as well as consult and collaborate with departments across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep social media experience at an agency or on the client-side, demonstrated strategic prowess, and brought to life ideas rooted in data, platform standard processes, and marketing objectives.

We are seeking a candidate who will help lead Overwatch into a new era through social media. 

 

This role will primarily work with the Sr Digital Marketing Manager, franchise teams, and agency partners. The ideal candidate will assist in optimizing the Overwatch franchise global social strategy, developing creative playbooks, and key presentations to further the franchise's approach to social media. 

 

This position requires experience developing and implementing a strategic approach to social platforms for a major title or brand, team, or agency leadership, in addition to familiarity with influencers and engaging with players and fans. 

 

In addition to knowledge of and passion for the Overwatch universe, the ideal candidate will be an expert in digital marketing, knowledgeable about the gaming space, and a proactive self-starter who is constantly looking to innovate supporting franchise and marketing goals. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support and implement our Overwatch franchise global social strategy, including, but not limited to: Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitch. 
  • Oversee the editorial calendar and lead on publishing content to Overwatch social media channels day to day 
  • Play a key role in social strategic and creative ideation, help manage production, and ensure executional success among internal and external creative teams 
  • Assist in managing Overwatch social media channels 
  • Partner with internal creative teams and manage an external agency team 
  • Assist in relationships with social media platforms and digital partners 
  • Assist with real time publishing and engagement day to day and during real time activations and live events 
  • Listen and respond to players on our owned channels 
  • Work effectively with internal cross-functional teams including Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Growth Marketing, Public Relations, Events, and more. 
  • Drive weekly social media reporting, insights, and delivery through the use of analytics and CMS tools, including Sprinklr, Tubular, and Native Analytics 
  • Apply takeaways to inform and support the creative approach to reach critical metrics across platforms and campaigns 


Requirements: 

  • 5+ years experience in social media at an agency or on the client-side as a Social Strategist or Digital Marketer 
  • Self-starter mentality and track-record for inventive social ideas 
  • Proficiency in collaborating within a large organization and 3rd party agencies/partners Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail 
  • Experience in providing creative feedback for social content 
  • Passion for entertainment, social media, youth culture, gaming and the Overwatch brand Excellent verbal, organizational, and technology skills 
  • Knowledge of the latest platforms and technologies and desire to see opportunities for strategic brand involvement 
  • Understanding of brand strategy and ability to write persuasive POVS 
  • Expert knowledge of key social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter) and associated analytics programs and tools like - Sprinklr, Tubular 
  • PLUS: Candidate with live service gaming experience

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $72,720.00 - $134,460.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
