160over90 is seeking a Social Media Manager, Video Marketing to support one of our premier clients in their Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the entertainment marketplace (cable networks, premium programming and sports packages) and has a strong understanding of the media landscape.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Social Media Manager will be part of our client’s team responsible for supporting consumer marketing efforts to increase current customer engagement with video products through content-driven campaigns. This individual will support our client’s efforts and serve as the day-to-day lead for editorial strategy across social platforms and managing their social media agencies ensuring they are meeting campaign and business objectives.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Support execution of editorial strategy for DIRECTV existing customer engagement across Instagram and Twitter, and other social platforms where needed
  • Manage social media agencies in content, community management, paid media, and operations disciplines, and act as primary point of contact for internal existing customer marketing groups to ensure business goals are met
  • Keep agencies abreast of continuously evolving programming priorities, including tentpole campaigns, customer offers, premiere dates, shoots, and special events
  • Provide TV networks and movie studios with social media brand guidelines and collaborate with them on new social content opportunities that align with our editorial strategy
  • Partner closely with TV networks to secure exclusive talent opportunities, including on-set visits, behind-the-scenes access, press junkets, red carpets, and handle takeovers
  • Facilitate talent capture opportunities, such as press junket and red carpet interviews, both in-person and virtually when needed
  • Oversee weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting from agencies with the ability to summarize information, review, and provide recommendations for improvement 
  • Pinch-hit content creation with copywriting and low-lift asset creation as needed
  • Monitor handles, news, talent accounts, and other outlets to ensure proper community management, engagement, and amplification
  • Stay on the pulse of social media trends and cultural conversations, and recommend use of new platforms or social happenings where appropriate
  • Attend events and production shoots to capture content for social use as needed

 

Requirements:

  • 7 + years of marketing experience, preferably in the social media and digital space
  • Excellent project management skills with a focus on detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Knowledge of social media metrics and trends
  • Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of design software like Photoshop

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years’ experience in marketing or related field.
  • Brand, Advertising, Digital or agency experience a plus.
