Boardroom is looking for a full-time Social Media Manager.

The Role

Boardroom is seeking a full-time, evening and weekend focused social media manager who will help with the development and creation of content for all Boardroom social platforms, with an increased emphasis on the live-sports window coverage for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. This position requires content creation that will generate audience interaction, conversation, and engagement around sports, business and culture, while keeping up with social trends.

Location: New York Metro, NY

Term: Full Time

Responsibilities Include

  • Surface and curate engaging social content for Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Write and edit social copy to ensure that style is consistent with account voice and editorial best practices
  • Generate new ideas for social media posts and execute against them from start to finish, including occasional video and photo editing
  • Collaborate with the Boardroom social, video and editorial team to help grow the brand’s online presence
  • Analyze performance of social content and incorporate insights into future content decisions
  • Drive community management across Boardroom social media platforms, including direct engagement with fans as well as joining relevant conversations with other brands, personalities and platforms on social media

Qualifications Include

  • 5+ years’ experience in social media or a closely related field
  • Experience using video editing software (e.g. Final Cut, Premiere, After Effects) and photo editing software (e.g. Photoshop, Canva)
  • Knowledge of the sports landscape, including current athletes, rules, events, as well as knowledge around business, tech and culture
  • Sound editorial judgment, writing and editing skills
  • Ability to react quickly and positively under pressure
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Appreciation for and strong understanding of social media trends
  • Familiarity with the Boardroom brand
