We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Phoenix Mercury Marketing Coordinator with the Marketing Department, assisting the Mercury Marketing Manager in the areas of brand marketing, ticket and product marketing, event marketing, and community relations.
What Will You Do:
- Brand Marketing:
- Assist in the ordering, facilitation, delivery, and distribution of theme night and brand marketing elements, including theme night campaigns, giveaways, promotional merchandise
- Sit in on marketing planning meetings to take notes and observe process; meetings including but not limited to brand marketing overviews, departmental weekly look ahead meetings, ticket marketing strategy, etc.
- Assist with grassroots marketing to non-profits/community groups in the community at parades, sporting events, cultural gatherings and events, etc.
- Assist in various projects that require marketing attention
- Ticket Marketing
- Work alongside manager and ticket sales team to create marketing collateral that supports our various ticketing verticals
- Own and operate our paid social media strategy for ticket sales
- Assist with pre-game and post-game ticket promotions/events
- Assist with building out strategy for all ticket sales verticals
- Additional Responsibilities
- Available to work a normal 9-5 work week as well as Mercury home games and other events as necessary
- Flexible working hours including weekends, evenings, and other as needed events outside of normal business hours
- Additional duties may be added or changed in order to meet the constantly changing needs of the organization
What We Need From Our Phoenix Mercury Marketing Coordinator:
- Passionate about women’s basketball / sports marketing

- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record over the past three years

- Reliable access to transportation to and from office.
Experience/ Education Requirements:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a sports or brand marketing space
- 4-year degree in Sports Business, Communication, Marketing, Community Relations OR relevant work experience
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiar with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Wrike, etc.)
