We are a looking for a Vice President of Business Insights and Analytics to lead a team highly skilled professionals and work closely with cross-functional leaders to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. As Vice President, you will lead analytics strategy across our enterprise, including LA Clippers, Intuit Dome and Kia Forum and collaborate with leaders from Ticketing, Marketing, Partnerships, Finance, HR, and to understand their specific analytical needs and challenges and deliver actionable insights to optimize performance, increase revenue, and enhance fan experiences.

This is a full-time role based out of our DTLA office and is eligible for our competitive benefit offerings including health insurance, Wellbeing Allowance and 401(k) with company contribution.

What You Will Do

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and lead a team of analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Be responsible for team recruitment, training, and development to ensure they have the skills and resources necessary for success.

Analytics Strategy

  • Develop and implement the overarching analytics and insights strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives.
  • Drive the integration of sophisticated analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling to provide strategic recommendations.

Data Management

  • Lead all aspects of data governance, data quality, and data infrastructure to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the organization's data.
  • Explore and recommend opportunities to collect, process, and use new data sources.
  • Expertise in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration to ensure efficient data flow and storage.
  • Proficiency in database management, including relational databases and NoSQL, with a focus on data quality and security.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud-based data services for handling large datasets.

Reporting and Visualization

  • Develop and implement reporting systems and dashboards to communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and easily understandable for non-technical stakeholders.

Data Privacy and Compliance

  • Implement data privacy measures in compliance with relevant regulations and ensure data security and governance practices are followed.

Vendor and Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, data providers, and technology partners.
  • Evaluate and select vendors to enhance data capabilities and manage vendor contracts and performance.

ROI Analysis

  • Analyze marketing campaigns, ticket sales, and partnership activities to measure ROI and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Track the impact of initiatives and make data-driven suggestions for future investments.

Innovation

  • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of analytics in the sports and entertainment industry.

Your Background, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role
  • Strong expertise in analytics, data science, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to drive actionable insights.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and lead multiple initiatives.
  • Passion for sports and entertainment industry knowledge is a plus.

Compensation

  • The range for this position is $225,000 - $275,000. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
