The Business Initiatives Analyst, Direct to Consumer Products, Technology & Operations will play a critical role in providing strategic and operational support to ensure the success of the NBA’s Direct to Consumer, Products, Technology and Operations (DTC PTO) department. DTC PTO’s mission is to enhance fan affinity and reach through world-class broadcasts and digital offerings that are globally accessible and unified through a personalized fan journey.
This individual will assist in key business initiatives and at times confirmational projects that require multi-disciplinary coordination across teams. Key responsibilities of this individual include budget management, vendor management, strategizing on operational efficiencies and preparing presentation materials to Senior Management and other key business stakeholders. The ideal candidate has acute attention to detail, experience in building financial models and using critical thinking to strategize with the business with a special focus on building strong cross-functional relationships that help execute on business initiatives and achieve business goals.
Major Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain and deploy best practice frameworks and processes to facilitate alignment across the department including the department objectives and key results
• Focus on organization of the department including ownership of department calendar and orderliness of key documents and reports
• Assist business forecasting and budget management exercises including evaluating risks and opportunities against the department budget working in close coordination with the finance team
• Support assessment of vendor agreement terms and services against financial projections including scenario modeling and ensuring key deals, partnerships and relationships are tracked and in-line with budget and strategic priorities
• Own financial modeling of multi-year projections tied to variable technology platform costs that support the NBA’s digital products including competitive peer analysis
• Provide support to aid the DTC PTO business initiative team in decision-making through data gathering, information analysis and presenting considerations to relevant stakeholders
• Assist in meeting management including collecting and preparing content, capturing notes and action items, and ensure actions are tracked and executed
• Contribute to the creation of internal and external communications, including executive reports and presentations
• Ability to critical analyze information in support of business initiatives and updates to Senior Management including fact checking information and cross-referencing against industry peers
• Be curious about the strategic direction of the business and overall industry using that to draw parallels in work product
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key business partners and stakeholders
Required Education/Professional Experience
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in Banking, Consulting, Investor Relations, Media, Digital and/or Technology industries
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Salary Range: [[$100,000 - $120,000]]
