About the role:

Skillz is seeking a process-oriented mobile gaming Product Marketing Manager with a Performance Marketing mindset to power our User Acquisition efforts across all digital channels and User Acquisition campaigns.  The Product Marketing Manager will be the main interface between the User Acquisition team, Creative Development, and Game Developer teams to ensure our creative, content, and game portfolio strategy is executed to the highest level.

The Product Marketing Manager will level-up to become the game subject matter expert within the User Acquisition function owning our feature and messaging frameworks for each game we advertise. The Product Marketing Manager will document and present performance of our game campaigns back to stakeholders with actionable strategic recommendations for iterative improvement in campaigns and processes.  You will play a key role in growing Skillz User Acquisition portfolio.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Own the User Acquisition Creative Delivery & Testing Roadmap, including prioritization of creative delivery across the portfolio.

  • Own all User Acquisition messaging frameworks, segmentation planning, briefing and User Acquisition creative documentation for channel specifications.

  • Own Creative Competitor Analysis within our User Acquisition function. Source and update all relevant network benchmarks for creative.

  • Run App Store Optimization roadmap for games in the portfolio.

  • Build and share creative review and analysis. Present findings and hypotheses for creative tests to cross-functional groups.

  • Run monthly keyword ranking analysis for each game in the portfolio. Share recommendations with our developers.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree, preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in media buying, user acquisition, or performance marketing.

  • Strong proficiency with Excel required.

  • Creative problem solving acumen, as well as analytical rigor to verify or invalidate assumptions.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with cross functional teams.

  • Strong understanding of funnel conversion metrics, retention rates and Lifetime Value predictions preferred.

  • Expert of User Acquisition discipline and has a pulse on the evolving User Acquisition landscape.

  • Actively looking for and practicing new strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

  • Deep understanding of our data architecture and tech stack, and be able to communicate effectively with data teams.

  • Looks for competitor benchmarks and emerging trends.

  • Ability to self-reflect, take feedback and create a personal improvement plan.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with SQL is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience with Facebook Ads and/or Google Ads is a plus.

  • Games passion or experience.
