DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The Boston Red Sox Marketing Department is focused on supporting ticket sales and organizational initiatives through digital advertising, email marketing, promotions, and social media channels for the organization. We showcase both on-field and off-the-field products including player marketing, online game coverage, broadcast support, and outbound ticket sales messaging, all to encourage fan growth.
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will be a key member of the corporate marketing team responsible for handling the day-to-day for the organization’s digital advertising campaigns across search, display, social and email. This entry-level role will collaborate with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Ticketing, Analytics, Creative Services, Productions, and with MLB’s Performance Marketing team, to help define various digital advertising strategies, with a particular emphasis on all the organization’s ticketing and sales initiatives. This role will also support marketing plans and segmentation strategies to inform marketing activation programs that drive fan growth and retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Directly responsible for the day-to-day execution of our digital campaigns that drive revenue and reach new buyers.
    • Work cross-functionally to maintain a comprehensive campaign calendar across all digital advertising platforms including email, search, display and paid social.
    • Day-to-day coordination of the email deployment process from start to finish.
    • Regular check-ins and reports to stakeholders, including Marketing, Analytics, Ticketing, Events, Creative, and League Performance Media teams.
    • Measure and track all digital advertising and email campaigns to ensure that campaigns are operating efficiently, and if necessary, optimize accordingly to achieve campaign objectives.
    • Close collaboration with Marketing and Analytics departments to develop and deliver personalized reporting dashboards. 

CHARACTERISTICS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • 1-3 years of professional experience in data-driven marketing, or related function area.
    • Hands-on experience with digital advertising analytics tools to effectively measure campaign success to create associated reports.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate in cross-functional teams.
    • Experience building and executing paid digital campaigns, including testing, reporting, and campaign budget management
    • Email Marketing (HTML/CSS), CRM, and CDP tools experience.
    • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices for building strategic customer journeys for both acquisition and retention marketing.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and is extremely detail-oriented.
    • Excellent communication skills and experience managing responsibilities for stakeholders.
    • Someone who thrives in fast-paced environments.
