What You Will Do

  • Run key programming and initiatives across community relations, grassroots, youth programming & special events.
  • Support the development of new strategies and opportunities for our organization consistent with brand positioning and equity.
  • Serve as a primary resource to corporate partnership/sponsorship team for community engagement programming and initiatives.
  • Manage the implementation of community related corporate partner programs.
  • Represent the CR team across ideation sessions and assist in the design of community engagement programs that align with Community Relations strategic priorities
  • Facilitate the implementation of community partner programming with local community organizations and in partnership with key partners (e.g., corporate sponsors, players, alumni).
  • Track, evaluate, and report on the impact of our programming to strengthen our initiatives
  • Manage community related website content development & execution
  • Support CR game-day activations, community, hospitality and fundraising events as needed

Your Background, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+years of prior work experience within community relations, marketing, event management or PR
  • Track record of delivering results & ability to make strategic choices to maximize impact
  • Exceptional project management, prioritization skills & ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of development
  • Ability to transition from Insight-based recommendations to practical, tactical implementation with ease
  • Ability to develop positive relationships internally & externally and thrive within a constantly evolving environment.
  • Solid understanding and demonstrated expertise in the Marketing function
  • Ability to coach & develop world class talent
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish an asset
  • Experience developing and implementing creative programming initiatives as well as implementing processes to track and measure program impact
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong leadership skills, outstanding teamwork skills and high ability to influence
  • Strong and effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation
  • Must be able to work both office and non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends.

Compensation

  • $80,000 - $90,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • The role is classified as exempt.
