Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a candidate to help lead the Amazon Thursday Night Football (TNF) Sales Planning team. You will be entering in the early stages of the formation of the TNF sales organization. You will be part of an innovative, fast-moving team focused on delivering revenue results against the premier sports property in the industry, while also proving guidance and vision to enhancing the process, systems and operations of the TNF Sales organization. You will work with the TNF sales team as well as the Operations, Inventory, Analytics, Product, Release, Research and Project teams to create and deploy efficient process, best practices, requirements and roadmaps for operational excellence in the seasons to come. This role is part of the Global Advertising Sales organization and based in NYC.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with the TNF Sales team to insure seamless support for TNF Upfront and Scatter RFP requests from Agencies and Advertisers
  • Build Agency/Client Ratecards as needed to support overall TNF GTM
  • Build processes, templates and routines for the TNF Planning team to support both direct and ancillary sales teams
  • Create training and process documentation to allow quick and efficient onboarding and seamless execution
  • Create GTM process for TNF sales across all sales channels
  • Partner with downstream teams to insure clear, clean and aligned handoff points for booking, revisions, billing, liability and slotting processes
  • Become subject matter expert for Order Management System requirements related to TNF/Sports deployments
  • Assist in developing system requirements to increase automation of the process from pitch to pay

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ Years relevant professional experience in sales planning/pricing, inventory or yield roles
  • Deep understanding of the digital/tv media marketplace, including upfronts, holding company/agency relationships,
  • Proven track record of leading, building and scaling organizations and processes
  • Proven track record of training and developing teams
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to present to senior level sales management
  • Ad Tech experience with digital planning tools such as Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, Operative or Boostr.
  • Ad Tech experience with programmatic deployments such as the Telaria, Trade Desk, DV 360 or other SSP/DSP
  • Strong understanding of 3rd Party Verification landscape with vendors such as Nielsen DAR, IAS, Double Verify and MOAT
  • Experience understanding and implementing strategies based on third party media/research tools such as Nielsen, Kantar and Comscore
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills including working with budgets, upfronts and related data
  • Strong written skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Major media company or publisher side experience preferred
  • Understanding of Salesforce/CRM tools and workflow
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in new and undefined spaces
  • Ability to create new and innovative solutions and processes based on customer feedback and technology capabilities
  • Ability to articulate longer term needs or strategies
