What We Need
The Senior Director, Head of Mobile Marketing reports to the VP & GM of Mobile, and will drive the marketing vision, strategy, and execution for existing and new 2K mobile titles.
This role supports the expanding Mobile Business Unit, leading both User Acquisition and Brand Marketing pillars. A leader that is intrinsically ‘we’, vs ‘I’, cares deeply, and leans into data driven insights and learnings is critical to the unit’s growth. Specifically, we are looking for someone who:
- Flexes expertly between the visionary mentor/coach and the tactical doer. Building relationships both within and across the team is critical, as well as balancing partnerships, challenging the status quo, and knowing when to bring people on the journey vs driving fast change.
- Has clear mastery in mobile marketing post-IDFA. You and your team are expected to know our mobile products and our competitors’ products intimately - what they do today and what they plan to do in the future. You will tie together user acquisition, app store optimization, brand activations, and PR to develop the most compelling marketing strategies and actions.
The ideal candidate would have experience shipping and operating top grossing F2P mobile games while in a UA or Marketing role, and is devoted to the success of our games and team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a Marketing vision, strategy, and plan for 2K mobile game franchises that delivers commercial, player and brand results aligned with short- and long-term success. Demonstrate the courage to advocate for and test innovative new approaches even when challenged by legacy ways of working.
- Hire, train and develop a world-class mobile marketing team. Create an environment that inspires and empowers everyone to do their best creative work and thinking.
- Create launch and rollout campaigns that tie together the capabilities of different functional teams – product management, UA, brand marketing, PR, creative services, and analytics.
- Define strategic, multi-million-dollar, sustained UA campaigns from Soft Launch to Live Ops. Drive continued high-quality volume to 2K’s mobile titles, optimized to return on LTV. Create a relentless culture of experimentation on existing UA channels while establishing new UA funnels.
- Own & manage the creative Oversee rigorous testing & experimentation processes that maximize acquisition performance. Also lead the team in the development of brand creatives (app icons, screenshots, trailers, 1st party promo art).
- Work with brand and product teams on product positioning. Develop branding communications, advertising, promotional and PR programs over title’s lifecycle.
- Develop the organic vs paid media strategy for social and community. Manage the social content development calendar and our community strategy.
- Lead ASO – including A/B testing and optimization of our App Store Listings.
- Be the expert on our players - who they are, how they buy and their key buying criteria to not only input marketing strategy but product development.
- Be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned to ensure we have a clear differentiation in our offerings and communications.
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit
- 8+ years of performance marketing experience. Preferably shipped a Top-Grossing Mobile F2P title, with demonstrated ability managing multi-million-dollar UA budgets in a post-IDFA environment.
- Deep knowledge and expertise in other areas of marketing – brand, ASO, PR, social.
- A balance of data-driven, analytical skills with demonstrated creative campaign wins. Ability to drive incremental volume from creative development and testing.
- A good leader with excellent communication and presentation skills. Experienced mentor of high performing teams. Experience working with and influencing teams across different disciplines and levels.
- Self-starter who can self-prioritize tasks and remain productive with minimal supervision.
