The Role

  • Direct and run the Community Tennis annual and quarterly planning process ensuring effective strategic planning for the CT organization.
  • Lead the Community Tennis 5-year strategy and the 2035 goal trajectory and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Community Tennis objectives.
  • Lead and prepare quarterly reviews and results reporting for senior management, providing insights into the performance and progress of Community Tennis initiatives.
  • Supervise industry and market trends, report on new competitors, and identify emerging business opportunities, keeping collaborators advised about the external landscape.
  • Support evaluation of partnerships as motivators to achieve Community Tennis goals, assessing their potential impact and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Handle consultants and vendors involved in strategic projects on behalf of USTA Community Tennis, ensuring effective collaboration and project execution.
  • Advise and lead all aspects of an assigned program/project/initiative from initiation to closure including the development of project plans, leading project budgets, building and supervising cross-functional project teams, and ensuring quality control throughout the initiative life cycle.
  • Identify and work with partners throughout the organization to resolve and document agreed-upon program goals and objectives, metrics, scope, and requirements.
  • Navigate, network, and partner with both internal and external partners to drive organizational priorities and ensure alignment on strategic direction across all Community Tennis functions.

 

 

Who Are You

  • 7+ years of management experience with a combination of strategic consulting experience in both large consulting firm and major corporate setting preferred.
  • A trusted partner to executive collaborators, with strong influencing skills at all levels of the organization with an ability to partner across teams.
  • Strong business & financial competence and strategic mentality, with an ability to think across a broad system, refine questions, and develop analytical frameworks.
  • Experience managing people to complete tasks identified in formal project plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills underpinned by elite presentation and storytelling abilities.
  • Experience managing large-scale and sophisticated projects.
  • Strong curiosity about the USTA’s mission, with the ability to serve as a strong, compelling ambassador for the USTA.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects optimally.
  • Highly collaborative with a “team” mentality.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working through challenging priorities.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $130,000 - $140,000. This role is bonus eligible.  This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
