Chief of Staff

The National Cycling League (NCL) is a brand new organization revolutionizing cycling in the United States and building the professional sports league of the future – one that embraces technology, diverse ownership, gender equity, sustainability and community investment. The NCL will launch in 2023 with a series of criterium-style races that will exist both in the real world and the metaverse.

As NCL’s first Chief of Staff, you will be reporting directly to the CEO in helping him with the strategic vision of the company, from his day to day duties to corporate strategy planning. This is a pivotal role, at the intersection of our company’s vision and execution, that requires adaptability, empathy, collaboration, strategic thinking, and a commitment to measurable results.

What you’ll be doing:

• Help CEO prioritize and 4x his time

• Join the CEO for strategic meetings

• Board management

• Assist in the fundraising process

• Lead investor, advisor relations

• Build and manage CEO/company CRM

• Corporate strategy planning and monitoring

• Communications monitoring and response

• Calendar and Agenda management

• Assist in People Operations and Hiring

• Aid the CEO in strategic communications and follow-ups

• All other things that go into growing a company exponentially

What we’re looking for:

• This is a job for someone who wants to learn how to be a CEO of a venture backed company and aspires to be a founder CEO themselves.

• You will work directly for the CEO who will mentor you intensely and prepare you to start your own company.

• MBA from Top 10 Business Schools (HBS, Stanford, Wharton preferred)

• Consulting, Banking, Big Tech and/or PE experience

• 5 years experience - recent MBA grad okay

• Need to be incredibly organized and be able to deal with details and strategy

• Willing to commit to the role for 24 months
