New York City FC is seeking a commercial content specialist to lead the organization and execution of the Club’s branded content proposition. The Account Manager, Branded Content will play a crucial part in taking NYCFC’s commercial content to the next level, collaborating chiefly with the Partnership department, as well as the wider Marketing, ticketing and youth programs teams.

 

As well as conceptualizing, pitching and delivering projects, this position will be accountable for continued improvement of key metrics including partner retention/satisfaction and branded content performance on owned and operated channels.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Lead on conceptualization, project management, and delivery of commercial content for New York City FC.

 

  • Attend Partnerships Marketing x Content brainstorm sessions and play a leading role in keeping NYCFC x Partner content on focus and on deadline.
  • Build best-in-class pitch decks with creative content concepts and present to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Calendar out paid media assets from ask to flight, working with the Branded Video Producer and wider Marketing team in development and delivery to deadline.
  • Maintain a calendar of shoots, deadlines, and deliverables and function as the point of contact between the Content team and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all commercial content not only delivers on partner objectives, but also looks and feels like NYCFC Content, helping to create more holistic, innovative video for a range of Club partners.
  • Monitor performance on all branded and unbranded content on owned and operated channels and produce reports informing on efficacy of club productions on social.
  • Raise dollars of social media sponsor value for branded content on owned channels through innovative ideation and best-in-class execution.
  • Seamlessly synthesize the Club’s mission and tone of voice with club partners’ business goals, developing content which checks collective brand boxes and is impactful with both audiences.
  • Manage relationships with freelance vendors or external production companies when external assistance is needed, ensuring best-in-class work is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Work closely alongside the Senior Manager, Video and Senior Manager, Photography + Social to identify opportunities for branded content in always-on fashion.

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to address and solve problems, often under time constraints and competing priorities.
  • Brief-writing experience and deck-building capability (Keynote or Microsoft Powerpoint expertise)
  • Experience project managing commercial content for a professional organization to a high standard.
  • Experience interacting with high-profile external clients.
  • Experience logging brainstorm, feedback, and review sessions into concise summaries.
  • Finger to the pulse on sport adjacent cultural spaces, including art, fashion, film, gaming, music.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellence in maintaining positive internal and external relationships.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and strong brand awareness.
  • Strong awareness of commercial content best practices and industry trends.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled at managing and prioritizing overlapping event schedules, shoots, activities and functions.

 

DESIRABLE:

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. soccer, MLS and international game
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft and Google suite of tools.
  • Additional language/s
  • Shoot / production management experience

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary

 

COMPENSATION:

This is an exempt position has an estimated annual base salary range of $60,000- $65,000. Final compensation offer amounts are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and software expertise. We welcome direct conversations with each candidate about compensation in all of our initial calls.
