The Crown Is Yours

We are searching for an Analyst to join our Sportsbook Analytics Foundations team. The Analytics Foundations team takes on the challenging problems that will empower DraftKings to be a market leader and the first choice for customers in the years to come. As an Analyst on the Models & Measurement squad, you will combine techniques like clustering and regression with sportsbook domain expertise to build and iterate on features and models that deepen our understanding of customers in order to optimize decision-making across Product and Operations teams. You will also work cross-functionally with partners in Product, Operations, Analytics and Engineering to test hypotheses by defining measurement frameworks, designing experiments, and deriving insights from data.

What you’ll do as a Sportsbook Data Analyst

  • Develop, monitor and iterate on models used in decision-making for the Sportsbook business. Examples include defining and validating new customer segmentation definitions and identifying new metrics to evaluate sportsbook performance.

  • Partner cross-functionally to define business problems and hypotheses, design experiments, and measure results. Example areas include supporting measurement for promotional strategy, product enhancements, and pricing optimization.

  • Create high-quality data products and presentations to communicate with key stakeholders across the business effectively.

  • Mentor analysts across the broader team and organization on modeling and measurement best practices.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitatively oriented field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or similar).

  • 2+ years of advanced analytics or data science experience in a work or academic setting.

  • Proficient in SQL, a data visualization software like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, and a statistical programming language like Python or R.

  • Intermediate knowledge of statistics & hypothesis testing. Advanced knowledge of design of experiments, inferential statistics and predictive modeling preferred.

  • Ability to draw insights from large data sets and communicate effectively to stakeholders across an organization.

  • Excitement and curiosity to become a subject matter expert on the digital sportsbook space and grow as an analyst.

  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid work environment.
