The Design Producer will lead the approach and execution to all graphic design for Sounders FC. They will work cross-functionally across the club – notably with Brand Marketing, external agencies, and Club leadership - to apply brand and strategy to design projects of all scopes & sizes, which will drive club’s business and revenue goals.
Central to the role is orchestration, project management, team management and leadership. This position will own how Sounders FC shows up within its new brand identity across all channels and how we engage with fans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership & Management: Lead, manage and grow internal team of graphic designers to execute club vision across entire organization
- Project & Process Management: Ownership of all design projects within marketing and cross-functionally. Work with external agencies, VP of Marketing, and Brand team to ensure all are executed consistently at a high level, on time, and in-line strategically & creatively with Brand Guidelines and campaign approach.
- Resource Management: Foster strong external relationships, acting as a conduit with external partners to deliver against key needs.
- Marketing & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as brand gatekeeper and brand leader within design team, Marketing department, and across club to drive brand integrity and high quality with all club objectives. Utilize design expertise and brand fluency to be the voice of brand leadership
- Budget Ownership: Develop and manage annual design budgets, closely monitoring expenses and revenue streams to achieve financial goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Coach and develop 3 Graphic Designers to achieve department objectives while fostering a culture that prioritizes teamwork and collaboration, employee well-being and continuous learning and development.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant experience in production and/or design & brand
- Graphic design capabilities a strong plus
- Passion for sports & events and eagerness to learn MLS and Club culture

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Working Knowledge of Photoshop, Figma, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is a hybrid position working from home and from Seattle Sounders FC’s offices in Renton and expected to attend Sounders FC matches at Lumen Field.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
- Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND PERKS

The compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $119,500. Eligible for bonus opportunity. Base pay at time of offer will take into account job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
