General Summary: Reports to the Head of Digital and Brand Strategy. The Senior Manager, Digital & Content Strategy will beresponsible for building a comprehensive digital and brand strategy across owned channels as well as leading various digital & content plans, partner campaigns and brand initiatives to expand the reach of Stewart-Haas Racing, our drivers, and partners. A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of brand development, fan engagement and the digital landscape, with the ability to think creatively and strategically. 
 
This role will play a critical role in helping to grow our fanbase, ensure our partners maximize their activations across digital and position us as a best-in-class content team across all of sports. We’re looking for a collaborative, proactive and strategic person who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and push the envelope. This person must have a passion for the digital and creative landscape, possessing a strong understanding of consumer behavior. A passion for sports business, especially motorsports, is a plus.
 
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build a strategic, innovative digital strategy for SHR working in collaboration with team members. 
  • Ideate and create strategic plans for the SHR brand, its drivers, and its partners around tentpole moments and key initiatives as defined by the Head of Digital and Brand Strategy. 
  • Build a strategic POV and plan for our owned channels (social, website, email), executing against the plan. This includes overseeing the management of our website and email marketing initiatives. 
  • Lead digital & content brainstorms and planning across tentpole moments and programs for SHR and our partners. 
  • Maintain overarching and forward-looking team calendar and production schedules.
  • Collaborate with team members on a content strategy that helps brings to life the SHR brand, differentiates us from other teams and connects with new and existing fans. 
  • Assist in the continued development of a comprehensive digital tracking and reporting structure, helping evolve our process for benchmarking, generating reports and turning insights into action.
  • Identify new trends, technologies and platforms to help SHR and our partners reach new fans.
  • Manage the relationship with outside creative vendors, ensuring process and communication is efficient and brand consistency is upheld. 
  • Own and develop a strategy around SHR’s fan club, creating an innovative platform for us to engage with our fans and build affinity for our race team. 
  • Participates in other projects related to Stewart-Haas Racing, Haas F1 Team, Tony Stewart Racing, Tony Stewart Foundation, Gene Haas Foundation and additional miscellaneous projects.
 
Qualifications and Work Experience:
  • 6+ years of expertise in digital, content strategy and fan engagement in a creative agency at a brand, agency or sports team
  • Strong knowledge of the digital landscape, with experience managing digital channels (websites and email) 
  • Track record of experience in brand strategy and audience development 
  • Expert knowledge of best-in-class content development and creative process (i.e., creative briefs, project management, turnaround times, etc.) 
  • Experience driving partner programs and an elevated fan experience through digital and social channels
  • Experience tracking projects using collaborative tools
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and departments
  • Strong network in the digital, content and social media industries
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Business judgment; strategic and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, managing multiple projects with tight timelines
  • A team-oriented mindset and an ability to relate to others and develop sound relationships

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
General office environment. No extraordinary physical demands required. Some stress may occur when tight deadlines are required. 
 
Travel Demands: 
Travel to race events and / or extended hours may be required at times.  Air travel, hotel accommodations and per diem are the responsibility of SHR. Air travel to race events may be via private team aircraft.
