Position Summary:
New Orleans is a passionate sports city. The New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans are looking for a highly organized marketing coordinator to tap into that passion. Your primary focus, supporting the implementation of both team’s robust email marketing programs, will play a critical part in helping us achieve our goals. This position reports to the Director of Digital Marketing and works collaboratively with the Marketing, Ticket Sales & Service, Corporate Partnerships and Business Intelligence teams.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting the implementation of the email marketing programs for the Saints and Pelicans; you’ll build, deploy and report on everything from campaigns that drive last-minute ticket sales to critical pregame communications.
- Working with the Marketing, Ticket Sales & Service and Corporate Partnerships teams to help maintain the email marketing calendar.
- Regularly reporting on and share key email performance metrics.
- Monitoring deliverability to ensure we’re staying out of the spam folder.
- Developing skills in Marketo, our powerful digital marketing automation tool.
- Developing email marketing subject matter expertise, learning about the latest trends, tools and tactics.
- Developing an understanding for the business of sports and the behavior of sports fans.
What you’ll bring:
- 1+ years of experience in a marketing role (email, social, SMS, content, etc.)
- An authentic curiosity to learn about all facets of email marketing – hands down still our best channel for ROI
- Keen attention to detail and proactive approach to troubleshooting
- Excellent writing skills, for communicating internally or to an avid fan
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities within an extremely fast-paced, ever-changing environment – you’re a self-starter, proactive and flexible.
- Familiarity with basic photo/graphic editing a plus
