About the Position

The Golden State Warriors are looking for an experienced and proactive Director to join our IT department. In this role, you will create, maintain and oversee all aspects of the scalable, secure infrastructure for a world-class arena, satellite offices, and the delivery of IT standards, best practices, and systems maintenance of various technology disciplines and experiences. They will help create and execute the strategic, tactical, and IT operation plans to help determine emerging IT security and network infrastructure direction, policy, standards, and objectives for GSW and Chase Center. They will oversee departmental audits, such as PCI DSS, NBA, and Finance/IT as well as initiate Cybersecurity controls and provide direct support to departmental team members and propose efforts to meet customer and business needs. The position requires a strong, diverse technical background and the ability to work across all departments to align priorities with key business objectives. They will lead IT network projects and recommend security strategies for application design and deployment. The Director of IT Security and Infrastructure will manage a team of IT security professionals, network engineers, and system administrators. This role will report directly to the Sr. Director of Information Technology.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, manage and oversee the implementation, monitoring and enforcement of Information Security and Networking policies across the organization.
  • Lead the effective delivery and operations of core infrastructure services including LAN/WLAN, compute, storage, VMware virtual environment, cloud infrastructure, application services, NBA HSAN, service providers, and related technologies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for technology projects and requests interpreting rules, regulations, risks, and best practices to secure intellectual property, and customer/player/employee data.
  • Create policies and standards that align to regulatory and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS / NIST CSF) required for GSW and reduce the overall risk profile of the organization.
  • Manage IT Security and Networking vendors, consultants and contractors to ensure they deliver quality services and meet all contractual obligations.
  • Remain current on industry trends that may impact GSW’s network infrastructure. Present this information to the IT team and provide risk evaluations for executives.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, professional development, and support to foster an engaged work environment with a focus on customer service.
  • Identify, plan and manage IT projects, including the research and assessment of new applications, services, equipment and vendors.
  • Implement and oversee technological upgrades and major changes to the Information Security and Networking environment.
  • Assess and analyze current technology architecture for security vunerabilities.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop plans of action to resolve gaps.
  • Manage, develop and present Information Security Awareness training to organization personnel.
  • Develop, collaborate and communicate Information Security and Networking goals and new trends with other department managers within the organization.
  • Manage Information Security, Network Administration, and System Administration personnel.
  • Serve as a IT leader and help create, implement, and enforce governance, policies and strategy.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science/Business Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years designing, building, and managing enterprise technology infrastructure and cybersecurity environments
  • 5+ years with IT network, infrastructure and security-related processes, policies, and procedures
  • 5+ years of management experience related to network, security, and IT infrastructure personnel.
  • 4+ years with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
  • 4+ years with data and system integrity control, security audit, IT risk analysis, and event management.
  • 4+ years with analyzing and providing direct end-user support, and operational security controls.
  • In-depth knowledge of network firewalls, email security gateways, SIEM, Endpoint Protection, encryption, Cloud Security, and IDS/IPS concepts.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
  • Experience with VPN technologies.
  • Experience in ITIL, ISO 270001 Standards for IT Governance and Service Delivery.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Data and Voice networking configurations
  • Palo Alto Network/Juniper Network/Aruba certifications preferred.
  • Experience with security monitoring applications and tools.
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and testing DR/BC plans.
  • Responsible for understanding and ensuring PCI compliance requirements are effectively implemented.
  • Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of network security concepts, technologies and trends.
  • Retail and/or entertainment environment support experience helpful.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Project Management Fundamentals
  • Security+, CISSP, certifications preferred.
  • Scripting, programming, and automation skills helpful (Python, Powershell, Java, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and manager conflicting priorities; escalate issues as appropriate
  • Possess high degree of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and accountability
  • Possess excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal, time management, written and oral communication skills.

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed

Compensation

  • $190,000 - 200,000+ Bonus
