The Director of Marketing is the strategist and executor of comprehensive strategic marketing plans to support the overall New York Red Bulls brand marketing, digital and traditional marketing across social media, website operations, content, CRM, and media strategy. The position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. Other responsibilities include collaborating with Ticket Sales, Marketing Partnerships, Strategy and Analytics and other business stakeholders to drive revenue and incorporate the brand essence with the goal of expanding and attracting new audiences.

Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.

DUTIES

Establish and lead the implementation of marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives focused on driving key performance metrics Lead branding strategy and 360 consumer approach to drive revenue In collaboration with the Creative Director develop compelling marketing content that exudes the New York Red Bulls brand essence, drives key message points, achieves desired goals, and complements all marketing efforts consistently and cohesively Drives creation and implementation of website content and ensure that all content is current, relevant, and compelling, inclusive of copy, graphics, CTA, forms, ticket links Develop and implement overarching media strategies Determine agency partners, negotiate contracts terms and conditions and manages contracted agencies. Place media buys for traditional media and execute paid and trade campaigns, content development, trafficking, tracking, and reporting Oversee and evaluate market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Work collaboratively with the Strategy and Analytics Team to measure performance, report, analyze and optimize campaigns Manage a staff - Senior Manager, Brand Content, Digital Marketing Coordinator and Merchandise Specialist Oversee email strategy, report on performance, and manage content to complement overall marketing plans across the organization Oversee the New York Red Bulls merchandise program to ensure we are fashion forward and delivering the best retail experience to our fans Contribute to ideation, development, execution and reporting for sponsorable assets in collaboration with marketing partnership team Establish and manage project schedules to ensure deadlines are met Manage marketing budget at an organization-wide level including day-to-day tracking and reporting of marketing department budget and iVerify to ensure invoices are properly coded and paid on time Monitors customer insights to connect content with targeted audiences to grow the New York Red Bulls brand within general market and emerging audiences Track marketing, advertising, social media, technology, and content trends and assist with developing strategic plans to proactively recommend and implement new ideas

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in advertising, marketing, business, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years related experience
  • Bilingual [English and Spanish]
  • Previous experience working in sports is a plus
  • Must demonstrate extensive experience in marketing for a major brand with expertise in marketing planning and execution, copywriting, content development, advertising, and brand advocacy.
  • Possess the highest integrity and ethical standards.
  • Highly organized, self-directed business style, with strong ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent logical reasoning, multi-tasking, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Excellent written and communication skills in all channels and formats a requirement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently to develop content.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of industries of focus or ability to learn quickly and resourcefully along with current events and trends.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • He/she will be expected to attend all games at Red Bull Arena, as well as other events that may take place on weekends and/or holidays.
