SUMMARY:
The Systems Administrator is a user support and customer service professional that will also have responsibility for the technical design, planning, implementation and recovery procedures for enterprise systems. This position investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. The Systems Administrator also identifies methods, solutions and provides project leadership and management to deliver a high level of service for the Virginia Mason Athletic Center (VMAC) and Lumen Field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and maintain server physical and virtual environments, including performance, upgrades, patches and hardware failures on all servers at VMAC and Lumen Field
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP including account creation and deletion
  • Operate and maintain the VMWare environment, including: upgrades of VMware, deployment of virtual machines, monitor and enhance performance of virtual machines and test HA in case of host failure
  • Administration of SAN storage which includes Nimble and Synology
  • Responsible for all backup and recovery of data. This includes administering both Barracuda appliances at VMAC and Lumen Field
  • Keep all systems and software up to date with the latest patches and updates
  • Deploy and manage two-factor authentication with Duo Mobile and Okta for mobile users
  • Enforce information security best practices to ensure compliance with PCI, HIPAA and NFL information security requirements
  • Remediate system vulnerabilities identified during the monthly vulnerability scan
  • Provide user support and customer service for hardware, software printer and mobility issues
  • Availability for extended work hours as required. This includes weekend gameday support, stadium events, system upgrades and customer support
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred  
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus
  • 5+ years of practical experience
  • Expertise in configuring and managing Group Policy
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerShell
  • Advanced knowledge of VMWare
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Administration
  • Knowledge of Okta Administration

  • May at times be exposed to varied weather conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use their hands and fingers

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • The salary range for this position is: $100,000 – $115,000. The salary range applies to the current posting. The posted salary range may vary based on key factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related knowledge, experience and skill set.
