Summary:
The Manager, Business Analytics is responsible for driving the use of data and analytics to support the business operations of the Miami Dolphins, Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, Miami Open, and Hard Rock Stadium. This role will build and develop the business analytics team, work with our in-house data platform team to build a roadmap of data needs to support the organization and collaborate with business unit leaders across the organization to identify ways that data driven decision-making can help grow revenue and achieve other critical company objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders across the Company to understand business priorities, identify how data can help drive results against those priorities, and use that synthesis to inform the analytics roadmap.
- Provide effective leadership to a team of business analysts. Manage and develop analysts day-to-day by monitoring performance, encouraging development, assigning responsibility, and establishing priorities.
- Determine the most effective internal data product to deliver to key stakeholders on a project by project basis, including but not limited to ad hoc analyses, whitepapers, automated dashboards, and more.
- Using the business analytics team’s visibility across the organization, proactively identify new opportunities to improve customer experience, grow revenue, improve internal processes, and more.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
- 3+ years of data analytics experience, including but not limited to:
- Cleaning and analyzing complex data sets
- Synthesizing insights into actionable solutions
- Exceptional capacity for problem solving, critical thinking, and business judgement.
- Self-starter who can operate with minimal guidance and is proactive in developing internal and external relationships and identifying growth opportunities for the Company.
- Ability to effectively balance multiple simultaneous priorities and deadlines with tight and changing timelines.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to tailor communications to a broad range of internal and external audiences.
- A bias for action and results while remaining highly collaborative. Ability to identify the right stakeholders to involve for each workstream and drive healthy and productive debate.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with SQL (this is a required skill for the role, so must have willingness/ability to learn this quickly).
- Prior experience working in the sports and entertainment space.
