What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain long-term business relationships with revenue driving personnel at MLB clubs while contributing to the growth of ticketing revenue for MLB
  • Own the creation of Ticketing data to drive website and email components
  • Manage configurations crucial to the fan’s digital ticketing experience through the entire lifecycle of the ticket
  • Assist in promotion of ticket sales on MLB club websites & MLB.com
  • Coordinate and proof ticketing and commerce aspects of MLB-operated website pages and e-mail newsletters
  • Assist with day-to-day management and coordination of partner relationships
  • Provide sound feedback and suggestions for enhancing the user experience
  • Thorough and timely documentation of revenue driving initiatives
  • Generate data reports on frequency and success of revenue initiatives and suggest changes based on findings
  • Support Ticketing Directors with various tasks that will lead to an increased understanding of the business and client’s needs
  • Support MLB partnerships in the non-baseball event space
  • Manage additional projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is a plus
  • Two (2) or more years of related experience
  • Detail-oriented, organized and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic and driven to learn
  • Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
  • Able to manage projects from conception to implementation
  • Flexible schedule: available weekends and late nights throughout the year, as needed
  • Team player with the ability to develop cordial, professional relationships with all levels of MLB staff and partners as applicable
  • General understanding of Internet operations including business/commerce aspects of the web
  • Experience with content management systems preferable
  • Familiarity with the game of baseball
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of e-commerce and ticketing

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $58,500 - $65,000.

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MLB believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package for its employees.
