Job Description:

The Dallas Mavericks are currently seeking a creative, highly motivated senior creative producer with a passion for basketball and storytelling. This senior creative producer will work inside the content department and assist the Dallas Mavericks organization with concepts, creating, shooting, editing, mixing, and delivering original content. This is a full-time position and not temporary or seasonal. This individual will have the creative and technical skills to see projects through from start to finish. They must be comfortable collaborating with other department heads, editors, and producers as necessary.   

Essential Job Function:

• Conceptualize, produce, and edit cinematic storytelling content consistent with the Dallas Mavs brand. Primary projects include but are not limited to City Edition launch, Opening Night video, All-Star voting launch video, Playoff Promotion video, various Marketing commercials, and other organizational creative initiatives.  
• Capture visually stimulating cinematic content utilizing a variety of cameras and production equipment. Pre-produce, coordinate, and execute on-site video shoots at various scales.  
• Cultivate creative ideas that serve both the audience and our organization's brand.   
• Attend home and away games as scheduled as well as practices and other events in support of the video team.  
• Support the content department in all studio productions and video projects 
• Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task, collaborate and deliver projects on-time 
• Accommodate internal video requests from other departments in order to meet their goals and promote our brand.  
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and generate ideas for social-specific content that will engage and entertain fans.   
• Travel to various remote events around the community 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in video production or a related field.  
• Professional experience with Adobe Premiere and After Effects 
• 5+ years professional experience as a content producer. 
• Professional experience creating and producing branded content. 
• Professional experience with a team or studio production department preferred. 
• Professional experience leading on-location captures   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in capturing and editing professional video content using a variety of HD cameras, equipment and lighting.  
• Strong creative eye for visual content.   
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 
• Capacity to think creatively and contribute new ideas.  
• Strong desire to continue learning and growing their career, strengths/weaknesses, and skills.  
• Ability to interact with players, staff, and the community in a professional manner. 
• Ability to work with multiple projects and quick deadlines. 
• Excellent organizational skills and proven attention to detail. 
• Ability to work a varied schedule to include weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
