Position Summary
The Seasonal UI/Product Designer will work with the AMB Sports & Entertainment (AMBSE) team to design and develop digital experiences and products across the various lines of business. This will include digital properties for the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. They will work closely with the digital operations team to coordinate execution of projects with various AMBSE departments, meeting deadlines, and ensuring high-end delivery of digital products.
Our ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in digital user experience, digital product development or a similar role. This position will report to the AMBSE Director, Digital Platforms, and the assignment will run through April 2024.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Partner with the UI/UX Designer/Developer to update and maintain digital properties across the AMBSE lines of business (MBS, Falcons, United, etc.)
- Design pages and corresponding assets to improve MercedesBenzStadium.com and AtlantaFalcons.com user journeys, thus leading to increased conversion rates and better user experience
- Design net-new email templates for AMBSE brands to create a more engaging and efficient visual presence within email campaigns
- Design Atlanta Falcons / Atlanta United / MBS App pages and assets as needed for various campaigns and launches
- Collaborate with AMBSE Technology team on user experience across innovation projects
- Improve dynamic flow for Xenial rewards system through influenced visual asset creation
Skills and Basic Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in digital user experience, product design, or similar digital role
- Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, user interface, user experience, or related field
- Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems
- Availability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to multitask and manage various projects and the goals of multiple departments
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working in a matrixed organization across media, marketing, community, sponsorship, PR, and football/soccer operations
- Team player who thrives in projects that involve multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills
- Experience using content management systems (Pocket, Contentful, Webflow preferred)
- User interface design, and experience using prototyping and design platforms such as Adobe XD / Photoshop
Preferred Qualifications
- Base knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other front-end languages
- Understanding of API endpoints and JSON
- Experience managing the needs of a large organization that requires digital to meet the collective needs of cross-functional departments
- Ability to design user interfaces and experiences rooted in graphic design fundamentals and compositional awareness
- Experience within a large media or sports property, with an understanding of core revenue
generating processes
- Understanding of what digital products generate engagement and excitement,
particularly with younger/emerging audiences
