Position Overview 

Spectrum Center is seeking a creative, organized, forward-thinking marketing professional, to implements, social media content, marketing, advertising, PR and promotions for concerts, family shows and special events. Additionally, this position will assist with the branding and promotion of Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE) and will support the Director of Arena Marketing to activate marketing, advertising, and fulfillment strategies to retain business, increase ticket sales, build awareness and equity into the HSE brand.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Manage activations platforms for show announcements: 
    • XYTECH: request creative graphics for all digital activations, website, social media, and venue content.  
    • CRM Helix: Email distribution lists. 
  • Create digital promotional content calendars by collaborating with Hornets Interactive and App departments for upcoming events, day of show content and cross promotions for Charlotte Hornets, Levy Restaurants and Hornets Fan Shop via 
    • Social Media Platforms 
    • Website 
    • Hornets + Spectrum Center App 
  • Create marketing & advertising campaigns to support ticket sales
  • Complete market research for upcoming events to support audience and demographics. 
  • Responsible for daily tracking of social media, website, App accounts; data impressions, fan interaction and repost from artist and special pages. 
  • Build social media influencers and bloggers lists to support grassroots and cross promotion activations with external partners.  
  • Provide support for Hornets In-Game Activations 
    • Bally TV, Radio, Honeybees, In-game give away and concourse activations. 
  •  Manage arena marketing intern
  • Delegate marketing checklist to support event marketing campaigns
  • Develop marketing recaps content “ROI” to support concert performance and venue support for promoters.  
  • Execute artist and promoter activations experience, including event design, budget securing vendors 
  • Work all arena shows and Hornets in-game activations as needed by collaborating with manager for approval of activation calendar. 
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by manager 

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities 

To perform the job successfully, you will have or demonstrate the following skills and abilities: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (marketing, advertising, public relations, or communications) required 
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a marketing role required 
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of digital media, advertising, promotions, and CRM is critical 
  • Proven track record of success in creating and executing marketing, advertising, digital/social media, event design, CRM, and promotional plans 
  • Presents self in professional manner and has ability to interact with all levels of organization, promoters, and artist/talent  
  • Great organizational skills, able to multi-task under time constraints, meet deadlines and work within a fast-paced industry/environment; must be very detail oriented 
  • Must be enthusiastic, creative, and able to think both strategically and tactically 
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and analytical and ability to present ideas clearly and concisely 
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products including word, excel, power point and Microsoft teams 
  •  Available to work a variable schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and all Arena events 
  • Willingness and ability to provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination required
