GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mascot Program Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the Colts Mascot Department, and works hand-in-hand with the Mascot Program Manager and Blue, to integrate the Colts Mascot Program into the team’s overall vision and mission. The successful candidate will exude high energy and thrive in a creative and fast-paced environment. General responsibilities include:

  • Manage and book appearances (community, sponsorship, marketing, school shows, 3rd party) and maintain appearance schedule.
  • Collaborate with Mascot Program Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute game days – including but not limited to pre-game skits, in-game promotions, and events involving Blue and Blue’s Crew.
  • Serve as the emcee Blue’s school shows.
  • Support the growth of the Mascot Program – including but not limited to Sponsorship, Social Media Content, Promotions, Events, Media, etc.
  • Coordinate internal and external communication for the Mascot program, and oversee various administrative functions for the department, including billing, invoicing, production requests, earned media monitoring, etc.
  • Collaborate across the organization to support Blue’s involvement in, and support of, other business verticals (sponsorship, marketing, ticketing, etc.)
  • Maintain Blue’s webpages within colts.com, in collaboration with the team’s digital team.
  • Maintain and track department inventory and giveaways.
  • Help create ideas and prepare presentation materials on program strategy and growth.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in marketing, events and/or promotions
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Previous public speaking and emceeing experience
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Commitment to teamwork, as well as individual responsibility/autonomy
  • Strong work ethic, detail oriented, highly motivated, organized, with the ability to multitask, be flexible and passionate about working in sports
  • Knowledgeable about the latest industry, cultural, and social media trends
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a company vehicle
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends, as well as all Colts home games. Some travel will be required.
