Summary:
As a content creator you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the presence of the Mets brand across social channels including Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and X. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Social Media. You will be responsible for developing and executing engaging, culturally relevant ideas that align to the Mets brand and creative pillars, while supporting key marketing objectives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inform the social identity of The Mets brand and drive the engagement with a dynamic online community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Content Planning & Creation
Develop creative and compelling social content primarily for The Mets Tik Tok and Instagram handles (as well as additional handles – i.e. Mr. & Mrs. Met, Citi Field, among others) including vertical video, GIFs and graphics tailored to each platform. Ensure alignment with brand voice, style and messaging guidelines
Attend the majority of Mets home games (81), a portion of road games and Spring Training to capture content for social platforms, mobilizing fans, players and special guests (celebrities, influencers) to be featured in the programming
Collaborate with social media team to plan content calendars and campaigns, subsequently schedule and posting content on social platforms using scheduling tools
Continuously track performance of social content, leveraging insights to inform future content strategy
Trendspotting
Own trendspotting and competitive tracking to identify new areas of opportunity for social innovation specifically on Instagram and Tik Tok, continuously seeking out ways to enhance The Mets social media presence
Stay up to date on social product updates, emerging platforms, algorithm changes, and content trends, making recommendations to Sr. Director and Vice President on how to capitalize or pivot based on findings
Collaboration
Work closely with stakeholder teams across the organization – Creative, Photography, Legal – to create cohesive and effective content
Work with Partnerships team to generate and implement social activations and content ideas for brand sponsors of The Mets
Collaborate with social media manager and coordinators to develop agile content strategy to ensure speed to market
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communication or related field preferred.
Proven experience in producing social media content specifically for Instagram and Tik Tok.
Proficiency in using social media platforms, scheduling and insight tools.
Excellent verbal communication; ability to effectively interact independently with high-profile people including players, team management and celebrities.
Ability to think strategically with strong creative and storytelling skills.
Basic graphic design and video editing skills.
A real passion for social media and desire to keep up with industry trends.

Salary Range:
$52,710.96 - $70,281.28
