We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an API Integration Engineer with the Information Technology Department. The API Integration Engineer will design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable integrations between various software applications and APIs. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless data exchange and system interoperability, enabling efficient and reliable communication between different systems.

What Will You Do:

  •   API Integration Design
  •   Development and Implementation
  •   API Configuration and Testing
  •   Documentation and Collaboration
  •   Monitoring and Maintenance
  •   Participate in on-call rotation
  •   Participate in game night and event rotation
  •   Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedure

What We Need From Our API Integration Engineer:

  • Strong programming skills (JavaScript, Python, or Java) 
  • Solid Understanding of Web Services, API, Integration Concepts (REST, etc.)
  • Proficiency in working with databases, data formats (JSON, XML), and messaging protocols 
  • Experience with integration frameworks, tools, and technologies
  • Familiarity with authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), and API security best practices
  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and design scalable integration solutions.
  • Attend technology partner calls and translate conceptual system requirements into technical data and integration requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.  Possess high degree of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and accountability
  • Strong ability to work with others in a collaborative, respectful manner
  • Strong collaboration, communication, time management, problem-solving and organizational skills.  Proven ability to multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines
Experience/ Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required
  • 3+ years of practical experience

  • Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and some holidays to meet business needs
  • This role will require travel to and from the arena to the practice facility, Iron Mountain offsite colocation facility, and Chase Field
  • Ability to transit throughout the arena for various periods of time
  • Occasional travel from time to time for professional development
  • This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is <5%
  • S-Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
  • Position is predominately computer-based, requiring the use of a computer monitor
  • Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person
  • Ability to Read, Write & Speak in English
