Position Summary:

We are seeking an Art Director and Project Manager that will serve as the brand creative lead managing all aspects of the visual identity of the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans. This highly organized, detail oriented individual will direct and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a cohesive brand creative statement and aesthetic that reflects the values and ideals of the organization.


What you will be doing:

Sitting in the Marketing Department reporting to the VP, Marketing Strategy; the Art Director is an expert in establishing a visual identity delivering breakthrough design, making brand stories come to life. Most importantly, you orchestrate our creative together with a talented team of designers. You have effectively managed and developed teams. You are a player-coach with attention to detail and the ability to manage projects from concept to launch.


You will also:

  • Lead and deliver the brand and creative standards, making certain that all design projects follow the brand criteria set forth by the organization
  • Art direct, design, and conceptualize big brand expressions across channels
  • Create and lead a positive creative environment that values professional growth, experimentation, and innovation
  • Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment with other departments, leaders, and members of the organization
  • Lead and delegate projects to designers; maintain, update and communicate the creative project priority process to guarantee the successful development of design assignments
  • Lead and participate in creative efforts to ensure the development of effective design materials is geared to support multichannel initiatives
  • Communicate dynamic design/creative topics in clear, concise ways to a non-technical/design audience


What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphics design or equivalent
  • 8+ years of professional experience with direct creative design experience
  • 4+ years of experience leading a small team of designers
  • An incredible portfolio of work
  • A strong background in Look Development
  • Proactive and approachable attitude with a strong sense of team collaboration
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • A variety of knowledge in the 3D VFX pipeline
  • An in-depth knowledge of Maya & C4D, Redshift & Arnold
  • A strong foundation in the 2D workflow and experience using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects. Nuke is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of Octane and Unreal
  • Some Animation experience is preferred
