Job Title:Senior Partnerships Activation Specialist

Department:Corporate Partnerships

Reports To:Activation Manger

Status:            Exempt

 

Primary Objective:  Responsible for the execution of partnership activation plans that deliver effective results, maximize profitability and ensures growth and retention for Seattle Mariners corporate partners. This role requires a strategic-minded individual who is passionate about client services, building impactful objective-focused partnerships, and displays a collaborative attitude that aligns with the Mariners Vision.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Directly contribute to the overall department revenue goals through current partnership renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Support Activation Manager and Account Managers as day-to-day contact for corporate partners, providing exceptional customer service and proactively managing fulfillment of all contractual assets.
  • Use a variety of methods and resources to creatively engage with, and enhance partner relationships, using industry knowledge and brands awareness to overcome challenges, create business opportunities, and exceed company objectives.
  • Prepare customized partnership proposals, recaps and presentations, incorporating team information as well as third-party market research and data.
  • Manage and maintain multi- department relationships to include Marketing, Ballpark Operations and Community Relations departments.
  • Assist in planning, development and execution of partner programs; oversee all game-day partnership elements. Including signage liaison between outside vendor ANC and internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the partner creative process, securing internal and external approvals and communicating to all stakeholders.
  • Assist in coordinating all partner-related events including Spring Training, batting practices, networking events, and hospitality outings, acting as the point person when appropriate.
  • Manage tracking and reporting ROI and ROO of marketing partnership initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of the sports marketing trends in the marketplace and make innovative recommendations for improvement.
  • Creatively connect with other departments to maximize cross-selling opportunities; work cross-functionally to create and implement new ideas, inventory and opportunities that will drive incremental revenue.
  • Assist wherever necessary to further market and promote the Mariners and our corporate partners.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of sponsorship, sales, activation, marketing or related experience preferably in professional sports, entertainment, or hospitality.

  • Proficient in computer programs and software necessary for the position including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), Adobe, CRM and ReoMetrics, Agile Media and other platforms as added.

Physical Activities & Working Conditions

  • Must be flexible to meet business and client needs including evenings, weekend and holidays.

 The anticipated range of base compensation for this role is $65,500 to $70,000 annually.
