Wasserman’s Golf Division is looking for a motivated individual to join one of our priority client account teams.

 

As an Associate Director, you will actively manage and ensure the success of client projects, playing a key leadership role in all disciplines from strategic development to execution.

 

The role will lead the day-to-day management of select golf partnerships, developing and executing core retail, social, digital, and experiential programs, as well as supporting broader strategic initiatives across the business. This position is responsible for leading, developing and managing a variety of current and prospective business relationships, sponsorships, and other partnerships to ensure client satisfaction.

 

This position will ideally sit in Raleigh, NC but open to considering remote or alternative locations.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide day-to-management, oversight, and delivery of marketing programs for our clients.
  • Show a forward-thinking initiative to identity the best strategic opportunities and deliver world class solutions to the client.
  • Develop and deliver polished deliverables in support client decision-making.
  • Coordinate client and company programs through various tools such as email, phone calls, and conference calls.
  • Help lead the day-to-day management of select partnerships, with responsibility for crafting, executing, and measuring key social, digital, and experiential programs.
  • Act as subject matter expert on golf industry.
  • Support the research and strategy work to help inform initiatives, program development, and sell in the value of sponsorship to client leadership.
  • Take on specialized roles or projects, including working with third party vendors and partner agencies to execute client programs.
  • Lead event logistics planning, implementation, and execution as applicable.
  • Monitor media, trends and changing sports, entertainment, and cultural landscape to keep company executives and team members aware and to maintain Wasserman’s position as the most knowledgeable in the industry.
  • Work creatively with client team members to develop decks and report materials.
  • Perform various tasks as needed by internal team members such as research, reports, daily updates, editing of materials, etc.
  • Stay up to date on client product / service offering and can thoughtfully present to potential partners.
  • Learn and manage client-facing project management systems and legal processes for the purposes of supporting the creation and approval of different project documents.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • 4 – 6 years of relevant experience with minimum 3+ years of direct experience in account and project management.
  • Specific experience working in golf in a sponsorship and/or activation capacity with preferred knowledge of golf’s governing bodies, the PGA Tour and LPGA.
  • People-centric with outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly with PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to multi-task and self-manage to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
  • Must be flexible and comfortable to assume multiple roles as needed by the team.
  • Carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Motivated, goal oriented, persistent.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Ability to think creatively in a team environment.
  • Must be flexible and react calmly under stressful circumstances.
