THE OPPORTUNITY

Through both digital and live experiences, the Sounders FC Marketing department curates club, fan, and cultural stories to build meaningful connections and serve as leaders invested in the progress of our Seattle community. As part of the Marketing department, the Brand Marketing Coordinator will support creative campaigns across multiple platforms that define the club’s marquee moments, promote corporate partner programs, and support Seattle Sounders FC social impact initiatives.

In this role you will drive innovative and authentic storytelling that delivers shared value for our fans, community, partners, and brand. In partnership with the Manager of Brand Marketing you will collaborate with multiple departments to understand their goals and execute meaningful integration of their programs into marketing channels. You should feel comfortable coordinating several deliverables as you assist in the concept and execution process for company-wide campaigns.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Marquee Moments

  • Partner with the Brand Marketing Manager to implement strong narratives and strategy to celebrate the club’s marquee moments (jersey launches, theme matches, playoffs, etc.)
  • Project coordination of creative with internal and external teams; overseeing execution through go-live.
  • Work with marketing channel owners to drive seamless fan experiences across platforms.
  • Manage and maintain mission-critical documents in order to support turn-key matchday programming.

Corporate Partner x Marketing Collaboration

  • Collaborate with CP Account Managers to understand the needs and goals of their partners.
  • Support the execution of Corporate Partner programs and campaigns across marketing channels (digital, print, in-stadium, live events.)
  • Work with Brand Marketing Manager and Corporate Partner AMs to coordinate CP integration opportunities into marquee club moments.
  • Act as a SME in Corporate Partnerships for the Marketing department, reporting on partner program performance throughout each season.

Social Impact/RAVE x Marketing Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Social Impact and Rave Foundation teams to understand programs and goals.
  • Support the execution of Social Impact/RAVE programs and campaigns across marketing channels (digital, print, in-stadium, live events.)
  • Work with Brand Marketing Manager and Social Impact/RAVE teams to coordinate community integration opportunities into marquee club moments.
  • Act as a SME in Social Impact/RAVE for the Marketing department, reporting on program performance throughout each season.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Analyze and interpret campaign performance, leveraging insights to make proactive recommendations.
  • Execute post-campaign reporting to cross-functional teams and upper management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 1+ years relevant work experience, preferably in sports marketing
  • Experience in executing multichannel marketing campaigns
  • Proficiency in project management software (Wrike preferred)
  • Extremely well-organized with ability to maintain multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Independent and proactive by nature, a self-starter who can work in ambiguity
  • Strong written communication skills, with ability to write for multiple platforms and audiences
  • Great communicator, innovative and professional in presentation, and able to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and departments
  • Passion for soccer and general knowledge of MLS and Sounders FC preferred

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • This is a hybrid position primarily working remote but will be expected to attend Sounders FC matches at Lumen Field, events and meetings in market as needed.
  • Must be able to occasionally work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Employee must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
  • Employee must be able to facilitate own local travel.
  • Must be fully vaccinated at the time of hire and follow all club and league COVID-19 protocols.
