SUMMARY

The Community Engagement Coordinator will lead a variety of initiatives including a significant focus to engage and support our local Military communities,  social justice programs engaging with diverse communities locally and support other Community initiatives as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Develop and lead engagement with various Military communities in the Pacific Northwest, including base leadership, service members, their families, and the Veterans community, through programs and events that celebrate, encourage and support individuals and organizations in these communities
  • Serve as the primary liason with Military and Veteran organizations, proactively communicating to key command of Military installations in the Pacific Northwest with the goal of building and maintaining relationships
  • Coordinate and present gameday Military elements, presentations and flyovers, including Salute to Service Gameday activations working closely with Game Entertainment department
  • Manage all logistics and planning for Military events including event layout, timeline, vendors, marketing and communication plan. Events include but are not limited to, Change of Command Ceremony, reenlistments, Military Training Camp Day, Military Hiring Fair, Salute to Service events, Military family events, Task Force 12 and first responder engagement
  • Serve as main liaison between Corporate Partnerships and representatives at Northwest Military bases and other local Military contacts to activate sponsor Military programs
  • Manage Salute to Service NFL grant, identifying recipients and building a content plan to raise awareness for the organizations
  • Support community efforts in social justice including advocating for historically marginalized communities, fighting for racial equality and amplifying the voices of non-profit organizations working towards social justice
  • Develop relationships with external community and non-profit partners serving Black and Hispanic communities
  • Partner with the DEI department on Seahawks commitment to racial equity and justice and build monthly recognition programs for Black History Month and Hispanic Heritage Month
  • Lead social justice programs including but not limited to, Youth Achievement Center, Inspire Change, voter engagement and Social Justice Documentary
  • Ensure all programs and events are being tracked in CRM in a timely manner
  • Work closely with Marketing to create content and coverage plans for Community events and programs
  • Closely monitor your programs and events to ensure expenses fit within allocated budget, tracking expenses on a regular basis in community budget
  • Support other Community programs and events and handle special requests and projects, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • One to two years of Military, event and/or community program experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • Understanding of Military community, Military Veteran preferred but not required
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Manage changing priorities in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to different environments and working cultures
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and creatively solve day-to-day challenges
  • Excellent computer skills - master of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Dynamics CRM, Tableau and Wrike preferred but not required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • The salary range for this position is: $65,500 – $70,000. The salary range applies to the current posting. The posted salary range may vary based on key factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related knowledge, experience and skill set.
