We are looking for a Communications Coordinator, who will play a critical role in the coordination, development and execution of external public relations strategies and media relations for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and Footprint Center. Your responsibilities will include strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate and build internal and external relationships. You will assist in developing proactive and reactive public relations and strategic communications opportunities to champion and elevate business goals and strategies. The Coordinator, Communications will also work across all functional teams including broadcast, digital, social, marketing, sales, global partnerships and game presentation to streamline communications and amplify messaging.
Create comprehensive, proactive external media plans that positively elevate the Suns, Mercury and Footprint Center
Creatively develop and pitch human interest and business story ideas to elevate the organization and its goals on a local and national level
Write, edit and distribute communications materials including but not limited to press releases, media advisories, pitches and emails
Inject a storytelling perspective into communications strategies; identify and craft stories that personalize and promote the Suns, Mercury and Footprint Center’s business goals and initiatives
Detail-oriented and able to manage a complex and evolving workload
