About the role

We’re seeking a VP of Brand and Culture to join our marketing leadership team. Your remit is to create and execute a cohesive brand vision to drive awareness, preference, and passion for StockX.  You will drive the planning and execution of initiatives so we can connect the dots between our brand, customer and cultural truths. 

In this role, you will need to be a creative storyteller who can inspire all kinds of thinkers, effective at influencing stakeholders, skilled at balancing creative aspiration and logistical realities, and comfortable rolling up your sleeves.

The right leader has their finger on the pulse of current culture, sees around corners with regards to new trends and opportunities, believes in and can advocate for the power of brand as an economic multiplier, recognizes and empowers creativity, and understands how to connect authentically with the Next Gen consumer. They recognize that every customer touchpoint presents an opportunity to build our brand, and will focus on partnering deeply across our organization to make that a reality. 

What you'll do

  • Develop long-term brand strategy and annual brand plans, defining the brand value proposition, messaging frameworks, customer segmentation and passion points map, and a strong calendar of compelling and inspirational brand initiatives. Work end to end to ensure ideas are properly conceived and executed, partnering with Integrated Marketing and channel partners. 
  • Connect with the catalyst consumer through unique cultural marketing initiatives that amplify and compliment our key brand plans -- including partnerships, community activations and storytelling --  that speak to key passion points.
  • Lead our creative team to ensure world class output that builds brand equity and delivers business results.
  • Champion our brand across the organization, driving alignment with, passion for and integration of brand principles and plans into all parts of the customer experience
  • Drive the global-to-local strategy and operational processes to ensure we successfully deliver local cultural and brand initiatives in a way that ensures brand consistency and quality while also empowering the right level of regional nuance.
  • Manage a small but mighty team, mentoring and motivating them to do the best work of their careers.
  • Help us see “what’s next” by working with our Customer Experience & Insights team and external partners to identify future opportunities for brand expansion that are unique and differentiated from the competition.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience successfully building global consumer brands, creating a compelling and breakthrough consumer message across integrated and innovative media channels, particularly for challenger brands
  • Cultivated and led a marketing organization for a leading-edge brand that has helped to redefine brand engagement with its customers, ideally for a consumer technology or a technology-driven consumer business
  • Achieved success in launching an innovative, modern product or service with a compelling brand story that touched a broad and diverse audience
  • Thoughtfully hired, mentored and retained a world-class team within a fast-paced, hyper-growth, ever-changing industry
  • Consistently leverages data, analytics, insights and metrics to propel brand strategy and execute compelling marketing programs that deliver measurable value
  • Grows and maintains strong dynamics between media partners, agencies, studios, networks, producers, digital specialists, and influencers to create a variety of engaging brand experiences successfully
  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, cultivator of collaboratively working relationships with teams across an organization and “uplifting others”
  • Inspires creative thinking and a “make it happen” mindset at all levels within their organization
  • Forward-thinking, analytical and problem-solving mindset, drawn to building off of ambiguous and unsolved problems

Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base salary range is $232,000 to $302,000 plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
