Objective: Work cross-functionally across the organization to raise critical resources to help the Chargers Impact Fund execute its mission. The Manager will have a key role in raising the profile of the Chargers Impact Fund by building and increasing financial support for its direct and grantmaking programs. Manager, Fundraising will oversee multiple fundraising efforts including in-stadium fundraising programs, auctions, and fundraising special events.

Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising & Development
  • Work with leadership to develop a plan for fundraising events, gameday, and auctions that will increase revenue by 30% - track against fundraising goals and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Plan and execute 2-3 signature fundraising special events annually.
  • Execute and manage 50/50 gameday raffle.
  • Plan and manage fundraising auctions.
  • Draft quarterly newsletter for sponsors, donors, and fans

 

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Passion for the mission and work of the Chargers Impact Fund
  • Proven ability to manage up: a history of working with boards and/or foundation leadership.
  • Strong donor/philanthropic relationships in Los Angeles
  • At least 4-5 years of fundraising experience and a proven track record of raising +$500K annually from Southern California donors.
  • Understanding of laws and regulations impacting the effective management of 501c3 public charities
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and produce a large quantity of work at high quality.
  • A self-starter with high motivation, organization, and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills/ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable networking
  • Proven ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, project consequences, and make recommendations in support of organizational goals.
  • Commitment to team collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Understanding of and commitment to servant/leadership
  • Experience in the Sports and Entertainment industry
