JOB DESCRIPTION

 

As a key member of the Florida Operations Department of a Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise and Minor League Baseball team, the Community and Partnership Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating marketing activities for the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League and Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training.  This specialist will play a crucial role in promoting the team, driving fan and community engagement, and maximizing revenue opportunities. You will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies and executing various initiatives to enhance the team's brand presence and increase fan attendance for the Dunedin Blue Jays Club.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

All Year Round and Florida State League

  • Dunedinbluejays.com website oversight and management
  • Coordinate all marketing, advertising, collateral & website needs for TD Ballpark working with key stakeholders from our team in Toronto
  • Plan & execute website presence for Dunedin Blue Jays by optimizing our website traffic, ensuring content is up-to-date and aligned with marketing objectives.
  • Manage the team's social media platforms, creating and scheduling engaging content, responding to fan inquiries, and fostering fan engagement.
  • Oversee & execute the production of marketing and collateral creation such as schedules, coasters, brochures, posters, and social media graphics for community distribution
  • Assist TD Ballpark team in the planning and execution of promotional events, theme nights, and community outreach programs to create memorable experiences for fans
  • Develop strategic advertising and branding efforts for the Dunedin Blue Jays, in an effort to increase the teams attendance and local team exposure in the county.
  • Monitor social media and online platforms for trends, fan sentiment, and competitor activity, identifying opportunities for strategic marketing initiatives. Ensure brand standards as per Toronto guideline
  • Oversee graphics/photos requests in FMX & InMotion
  • Develop and maintain positive, effective, and professional relationships with Minor League Baseball Officials
  • Attend Community Events with the rest of the team
  • Providing leadership to coordinators on staff, specifically social media and graphics coordinator

 

Spring Training

  • Liaison with Toronto marketing team (graphic designers) for Spring Training collateral and other branding needs at TD Ballpark
  • Collaborate with Toronto team to ensure www.BlueJays.com/SpringTraining website is up to date with all Spring Training related items including ticketing, prohibited items, parking information etc.
  • Oversee & execute the production of marketing and collateral creation such as schedules, coasters, brochures, posters, and social media graphics for community distribution.
  • Oversee and Executive in collaboration with our Toronto Marketing team with local advertising and branding opportunities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in website management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and adaptable
  • Strong time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able and willing to work weekend, holiday, and evening hours as required

 

DESIRED

  • Experience in Minor League sports, preferably baseball
  • Fluent in Spanish
