Electronic Arts is the leading interactive entertainment company, powered by innovative technology. We create incredible experiences for millions of players around the world. But what matters most is our people who inspire us, and the world, to play. As we bring new forms of entertainment to people around the world, we need creative, collaborative, diverse and adaptable people to keep making Electronic Arts better.

Content Strategist, EA Customer Experience

We are hiring a Content Strategist to join EA's Worldwide Customer Experience (WWCE) organization.

WWCE exists to help the world play. We support fans across the globe in 13+ languages and value employees that will bring new ideas and perspectives to help make WWCE a great place to be and be from. We celebrate diversity and inclusion and aim to create great experiences for our employees as often as our fans. We're looking for people that will come to the office or Zoom meeting excited to work and ready for some fun.

As a Content Strategist, you report to the [Senior Manager, Content / Content Lead]. You write words about anything and everything. You quote style guides and are always looking for clever business writing to inspire you. You also advocate for the reader, in our case fans and players, and work tirelessly to make sure that what you write is easy for them to understand.

Responsibilities

  • You will write and edit help articles that make it easy for EA fans to find answers online and give EA game advisors the right info to help players when they contact us.
  • You will start and maintain working relationships with game experts, launch managers, live support analysts, and product teams, creating content plans for the next game launch when needed.
  • You will use our house style guide and tone of voice to be personal, real, positive, and inclusive in everything you write.
  • You will provide ongoing, relevant content updates during crisis situations without simply adding to the noise.
  • You will brainstorm how to rewrite an all-too-formal Legal notice, 404 message, or auto-response fans might read on our website.
  • You will identify ways to incorporate new ideas, approaches, and knowledge into daily and long-term tasks.
  • You will tailor communications to your audience, providing either in-depth expertise or a high-level summary depending on the situation; you're always aware of the size and leadership-level in your audience.
  • You will seek opportunities to collaborate both inside and outside of the team, working with key influencers to effect change in projects and throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • You will have 3+ years' experience in writing, with proofreading and copy editing experience.
  • You will hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • You will have experience using an industry-standard style guide like the Chicago Manual of Style.
  • You will have experience working with highly technical content.
