Job Summary: The Business Analyst will work within the Business Intelligence team to provide insights and data visualizations in support of strategic initiatives and decision making across the organization.    This position will support cross-department analytical projects by using technical skills to analyze and visualize multiple sources of business data.

Essential functions of position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Work closely with various internal customers to understand business needs

• Create and implement the appropriate BI solutions to fit the evolving needs of the organization

• Support departmental analysis and reporting needs by creating compelling visualizations and dashboards

• Support departments with communication and dissemination of analytical findings

• Participate in and contribute to data warehouse architecture design

• Maintain reports for performance and accuracy

• Research and resolve data anomalies and validate data sets

• Develop an understanding of data collection needs in order to recommend new ways of acquiring data

• Work within the team and cross functionally to identify improvements to current reporting and business processes

• All other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong interest in baseball and baseball front office business analytics

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in data science, business analytics or related and appropriate field

• 1 Year experience with Tableau

• Knowledge and experience with Alteryx

• Knowledge and experience with relational databases using SQL

• Strong initiative and willingness to take on a variety of tasks

• Highly organized, detail-oriented

• Ability to think analytically and creatively

• Strong communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into accessible and actionable insights

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights or weekends
