The Role

Engage and drive greater participation of schools, teachers & students in the sport of Tennis. The Coordinator will engage, support, train, educate and develop relationships with key stakeholders and will ensure schools are provided with opportunities in partnership with the USTA network, local tennis providers and community organizations. Serves as a point person to USTA Section staff and industry constituents for Schools and Community Outreach Tennis program support.

  • Under general direction, serves as a point person to USTA Section staff and industry constituents for Schools and Community Outreach Tennis program support.
  • Coordinates and assists with correspondence, information exchange, publicity, and recognition efforts for School Tennis & Community initiatives. Provide schools & community with information about various programs / initiatives, offerings & support.
  • Serve as point person to National Digital/IT Departments to create and generate reports on the status of physical education, extracurricular programs, and school and community tennis workshops on a National and Section level. Perform data lookup on Net Generation School Teachers to support their paperwork. Serve as a resource to Section and local staff for tracking/reporting functions.
  • Represents USTA School Program interests at internal and external meetings, committees, and cross-functional teams as requested (SHAPE National Convention, etc.). Host information sharing sessions for relevant stakeholders on new initiatives and program offerings. Create and edit various documents using Word, Excel & PowerPoint such as; agendas, meeting summaries, requisition forms, presentations, etc. as needed.
  • Work in conjunction with USTA National Program Managers on fulfillment for the Net Generation Provider Equipment Program & event activations. Gathering appropriate data to enter fulfillment orders and tracking program activities for various reports. Process paperwork for Net Generation School Teachers and update the status of these documents for School Partnership Agreements & NCSI process.
  • Work with Finance to ensure submission, tracking and reimbursement of invoices, check requests, etc. Oversee processes including purchase orders, AXIOM, JIRA, OLR, Novatus, Proftech, Concur, etc.

 

Who You Are

 

  • Familiarity with USTA programs, organizational structure and allied organizations, preferred
  • Familiarity with implementing physical education and/or community tennis programs at a local and/or Section level, preferred
  • High School Tennis experience preferred
  • Ability to network effectively with USTA section/district staff, CTA leaders, parks and recreation agencies, youth organizations, tennis teaching professionals and other youth program providers
  • Experience with web based applications including data management and social media
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Suites (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Proficiency with web based forms (Adobe Forms) and survey programs
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability in analysis, planning, and coordination of program promotions
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed
  • Ability to appreciate and optimize volunteer heritage and resources and apply professional experience within a not for profit organization
  • This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" and may allow for both remote and on-site work.  Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is 40,000 - 46,000.  This role is eligible for overtime.  This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
