JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Partnership Marketing, a creative brand marketer first, will work closely with the partnerships team as a dedicated resource for campaign, program and idea development.  With a clear understanding of brand priorities and consumer insights they will develop innovative, breakthrough programming that drives impact for our partners fostering stronger customer relationships and results.

This position reports to the Sr. Director, Brand Strategy and is an integral member of the overall marketing department building synergistic programming that delivers for our partners, the brand, and our fans.  The ideal candidate can blend strategy and creative ideation bringing to life tangible tactics that drive results.  It’s a unique, new, and important role for the organization that will touch every department in some capacity. 

 
  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and develop (without agency assistance) creative and impactful programming that encourages the target audience to “take action.”
  • Build out new marketing assets that can be leveraged by partnerships to win partners and increase existing contracts.
  • Serve as the marketing expert across assigned account base, with the ability to leverage brand assets and strategies to develop, create, sell in and execute thoughtful marketing programs that align with the Chiefs brand.
  • Provide segment specific and fan first specific ideas, helping to shape and communicate the vision and mission for each partner plan.
  • Use consumer and shopper data to develop insights that identify opportunities.
  • Translate brand strategies, marketing plans and insights into actionable go-to-market plans that drive synergistic campaigns.
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and advertising activities.
  • Be the voice of the brand in all internal partnership meetings and be the voice of partnerships in all internal marketing meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):

  • College degree required - Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing preferred)
  • 5+ years marketing/brand experience
  • 2+ years in customer/client facing role
  • Cross functional collaborator familiar with matrix organizations
  • Ability to lead the development of breakthrough creative solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of all digital/social media platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on storytelling
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Available to work extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays (aligned to football schedule)
