Who are we hiring?
This role will be responsible for leading the Threat Management intelligence team while overseeing multiple intelligence and supply chain integrity programs. Typical team duties include monitoring worldwide events for their potential to impact MSG brands or operations, conducting security assessments of people and venues, assessing vendors and artists for security risks, and identifying malicious actors threatening MSG guests, employees, venues, intellectual property, and business operations. The Director is primarily responsible for mentoring analysts through complex tasks, providing expertise, and improving the processes used to produce work products.

What will you do?
  • Intelligence Process Leadership: Provide daily, in office, leadership to analyst teams as they critically analyze and report on evolving threat situation. Establish best-practice methodologies to support a global, 24-hour, high-volume, high-availability, critical production environment. Develop, implement, and periodically reevaluate policies and procedures governing intelligence team activities.
  • Threat Discovery, Identification, and Monitoring: Continuously execute new initiatives to simplify, standardize, and optimize threat management intelligence operations to reduce the time taken to conduct and report on:
    • Security assessments of people and places
    • Vendor qualification / third party risk management
    • Performance artist vetting
    • Insider threat remediation
    • Big data collection, triage, analysis, and reporting
    • Link/Pattern Analysis
  • Cross Functional Support: Regularly provide critical analytical support to MSG business partners including venue event staff, security operations center, corporate investigations, information security, data science, and compliance teams.
  • Industry Networking: Develop relationships with peers in industry to include live event/professional sports security personnel, social media executives, local and federal law enforcement leadership.
  • Metrics: Utilize the SMART criteria to create metrics measuring team increases in capability over time.
  • Perform other security functions as needed. 

What do you need to succeed?
  • Proven ability to rapidly lead analysts through the intelligence production cycle.
  • Proven ability to provide timely oral presentations and succinct, detailed, written reports drawing from multiple information sources.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and perform matrixed duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Polished interpersonal skills with a professional and calm demeanor in high stress situations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of news reporting sources and real-time monitoring of current events via social media and open-source tools.
  • Working knowledge of the Ontic, TX 360, and ServiceNow software platforms.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

 

  • Daily in office attendance
  • Ability to travel as required in support of investigations or security operations.
  • Willingness to respond to evolving security issues at night/on weekends
  • Must be flexible and adaptive to an ever-changing security environment in order to meet company needs.
