Essential Functions:                                                                                                           

  • Work closely with international and N.Y.-based staff to ensure consistency and quality in the collection of data and video in the international amateur landscape.
  • Validate and organize large datasets to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Assist on administrative tasks related to player contracts, scouting events, and the international amateur system generally.
  • Coordinate delivery of information to Clubs (via data portals, websites, e-mail, etc.).
  • Assist in the data and video collection process at on-field events as needed.
  • Assist in technology testing and development, including creating system documentation and training materials.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Oral and written proficiency in Spanish.
  • Prior experience in baseball (e.g., with a Club or the Commissioner’s Office) is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with baseball technology (e.g. Trackman, Rapsodo, Blast, Diamond Kinetics) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the international baseball landscape.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workflow and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $58,500 - $65,000.

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
