General Description:

Assist Entertainment Department with game day entertainment and entertainment elements for the organization, including but not limited to Clutch the Bear, Clutch City Dancers, Anti- Gravity, Launch Crew, Space City Seniors, Little Dippers, Red Rowdies, and in-arena DJ & Hosts. Assists in all aspects of production, coordinates entertainment elements for events & promotions, and assists where needed with the booking of First Shot, National Anthem, Halftime, & Influencer Appearances for Rockets games.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Assist in overseeing entertainment assets as assigned by the Entertainment Manager, including scheduling, rehearsals, timekeeping, game day coordination, etc.
Aides in selection of each entertainment team and assist with the coordination of audition format.
Game night liaison to entertainment teams, DJ, and hosts (pregame court rehearsal, stage manager, communication on com, etc.)
Assist in script writing, music editing, and execution of assigned entertainment elements.
Provides support when needed with design, order and purchase of entertainment team uniforms.
Manages and updates entertainment teams and appearance documents.
Aides in video, photography, and all entertainment team media shoots.
Works closely with retail, web, digital, and creative departments to meet department goals (social media, video intros, video recaps, retail shoots, etc.).
Assist with influencer/celebrity experiences for game days and events.
Assist with production of Clutch on-courts and video skits.
Assist in Game Presentation development (on-court contests, video shoots, tributes, ceremonies, concerts, etc.)
Coordinates booking, scheduling and payment of appearances for all Rockets entertainment teams.
Maintains relationships with celebrities, influencers and/or local personalities to participate in game day activations and/or events.

MINIMUM QUALIFIATIONS:

Minimum of three years’ experience in the field of live entertainment (sports, theater, concerts, etc.)
Minimum of 3 years marketing, promotions or game day experience, preferably with arena, pro team or similar work environment.
Previous performance background is a plus.
Must be creative, organized, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks at one time with a sense of urgency.
Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
Ability to take creative direction and be flexible in the face of change and last-minute initiatives.
Ability to think clearly and quickly in high-pressure/time-sensitive situations.
Extensive up to date knowledge of pop culture and latest trends.
Strong teamwork, leadership, and relationship-building talents.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, handle, feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed considering the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
