JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Partnership Solutions is responsible for the development, refinement and adoption of the sales processes, along with being a critical source of business intelligence for the Strategic Partnerships and Development staff. The position is the system owner of all department research, consumer analytics, and inventory valuation measurement systems. It is responsible for maintaining and updating all outbound sales materials. The position provides leadership during the brainstorming and development of sales concepts and platforms for key accounts, strategic business prospects and renewals. While having individual expertise in these areas, the position will also manage the development of integrated concepts by facilitating cross departmental brainstorming and concept development sessions with departments such as marketing, content/production, community relations, ticketing, etc. The position will constantly be exploring, developing, assessing and creating new inventory concepts and sellable partnership programs. The position is responsible for building the requisite sales presentation using the information and concepts developed during the collaboration.
 
This position reports to VP, Partnership Strategy and Development and is an integral member of the team with a focus on driving new revenue.  This role is critical in developing and maintaining systems and approaches as a centralized sales support role. The successful candidate can operate strategically, in the development of sales concepts and platforms, along with showing tactical and technical expertise in the sales process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Develop systems and processes to support sales opportunities with integrated sales presentations that contain on-strategy business building concepts
  • Working in partnership with the Analytics and Marketing Teams, build processes and increase organizational capability to identify and present consumer and brand insights in sales presentations 
  • Identify and track available and sold inventory to help streamline the sales process for the Strategic Partnerships and Development team 
  • Maintain processes to organize and prioritize sales development activities and materials
  • Conduct category and prospect research to identify sales opportunities 
  • Routinely develop new inventory and sellable platforms with internal stakeholders
  • Proficiently organize and conduct multi-functional brainstorming sessions to develop integrated concepts 
  • Develop expertise in matching KCC assets and capabilities with clients and prospects business objectives and strategies 
  • Work interdepartmentally to develop concepts that seamlessly integrate partnership messaging and usage of Club marks within GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and other collaborative efforts 
  • Ensure partnership assets can be efficiently executed by working closely with the Partnership Development Managers and bringing them into the sales process at the appropriate time to ensure a proper transition 
  • Assist in identifying upsell opportunities for existing partners 
  • Manage all third-party research systems (Nielsen, YouGov, GumGum, etc.) 
  • Work on additional projects as needed – particularly those requiring concept development and presentation materials 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):
  • College degree required - Bachelor’s Degree in a Business/Marketing or related field 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, and consistently meet deadlines 
  • Understands the need for data integrity and pays attention to maintaining accurate and timely data 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop strong working relationships with coworkers 
  • Demonstrated success in building compelling sales presentations and creative techniques
  • Ability to operate under pressure 
  • Be extremely customer focused with both external and internal prospects and partners 
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to be aggressive, polished and poised 
  • Good working knowledge in using sports rights and assets to drive B2C and B2B business results 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in creating multi-media presentations 
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point 
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator is a plus 
  • 4+ years of experience working in or adjacent to sales processes or teams 
  • Agency experience is a plus 
  • Available to work extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Expected travel: 1-2 weekends per season
